| How do I send an E-card? |
Batchmates.com has a gallery of customized e-greeting cards for its visitors and members. The Batchmates ecards section comprises cards on various categories including birthday, love, friendship, stay in touch etc.
- The left panel of the ecards section enlists the various categories of ecards.
- Click on the desired category name in order to view the cards within.
- A number of thumbnail images with the card title shall appear under the desired category page.
- To enlarge the ecards, click on the thumbnail image. Or use the Next button on the top right to view more thumbnail images of the cards in the same category.
If you like a card and wish to send it across to a friend, click on the 'Customize' button on the bottom right corner of the card. To view another card, click on the 'Choose another Card' button on the bottom left corner of the card.
To send the chosen card to a friend follow the steps as given below:
- Click on the 'Customize' button on the bottom right corner of the card.
- The page shall display a series of radio buttons for selecting the Background and a matching text colour, from where you can change the background of the card according to your choice.
- Write recipients name in the 'Card Header' text space provided.
- Write your card message in the 'Card Message’ text space provided.
- Write sender's name in the 'Card Footer' text space provided.
- The card you have chosen can be sent to multiple recipients. Click on the 'Total Recipient' tab to choose the number of people you wish to send this card to.
- Provide the 'Name' and 'Email' of all your friends in the space provided. You will also have to provide your name and email in the 'From name and From Email' space.
- Choose a valid date to send the card from the 'Send this card on' dropdown provided.
- A 'Preview Card' option is provided to show you how the recipient shall see your card. You can also make desired changes in this stage.
- Once you click on the 'Send' button your card will be delivered to the provided recipients on the specified date.
- A Thank You message shall appear with your ecard number. You are requested to keep a record of this number for your own convenience and for future reference.

| Why am I having problems viewing the ecard? |
You could be facing one of the following problems:
Browser Problems: You could try viewing the greeting card in a different browser.
The latest browsers such as IE 5.0 and its subsequent versions, and Netscape 4.7 work well with our site.
If you wish to install these browsers specify all the multimedia options. Also install QuickTime MIDI plugins, Flash Player and mp3 supporting software like Real Player, Windows Media Player, etc. for an improved and enriching multimedia experience.
Memory: You could have problems viewing the ecard if you are running low on memory or using a slow modem/processor. Card sites have graphic intensive pages that use a lot of PC memory when displaying graphics like animations and Flash cards in addition to loading the music files, backgrounds and advertising windows.
You can make more memory available by :
closing other programs or web pages,
closing other applications while you are on the site,
using a faster modem and processor or,
emptying your temporary internet files and cache files regularly, and restarting your computer.
E-mail Service: You may be using a text-only e-mail service like Juno, Erols, and Airmail etc. Such mail servers which only display text, will not be able to provide you with a hyperlink that will take you to the ecard page. You may have to copy the ecard link and paste it in the location bar of your browser.
Web TV: The upgraded versions of Web TV in which Flash Player/ Plugin has been preinstalled will enable you to view the Flash cards.The older versions of Web TV are not compatible with Flash technology and these web tv users may have certain problems viewing ecards with Flash animations.
You can view/send electronic cards with gif images, but if the file size of a particular image is large, the page may take a long time to load and the unit may freeze to avoid this regularly clear your cache - turn off the unit (a process similar to rebooting a PC) by unplugging it for about 3 minutes.
You can also ask your Web TV service provider for alternate ways to download Flash Player and view Flash Content.

| Why am I receiving junk mail from your site? |
Batchmates.com's online greeting card service allows people to send free e-cards. We DO NOT send greeting cards from our system to anonymous users.
Every card created through our system results in two e-mails being delivered.
One, the Sender: A thank you message is sent to the card sender. If someone enters your e-mail address as the sender, then such a message can come to you.
Two, the Recipient: The recipient is informed that someone has created a card for him/her.
In both situations we send e-mails using the information entered by the sender. Meaning there is no way you could have received a SPAM email from Batchmates.com.
